The Cage Warriors Middleweight Title is on the line at CWFC 96 as Lee Chadwick is set to defend the gold against Jonas Billstein.
Chadwick (24-13-1) is going to be making the first defense of the championship, which he won by defeating Victor Cheng by unanimous decision at Cage Warriors 88. Chadwick hasn?t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with that last loss coming to Ibragim Chuzhigaev at Absolute Championship Berkut 47. Chadwick has fought three UFC veterans in his career, defeating Cathal Pendred, while suffering defeats to Chris Fields and Jack Marshman.
Billstein (19-5-1) is going to be making his Cage Warriors debut in this fight and does so having won four of the last five bouts. Billstein did win two of four fights under the Bellator MMA banner, with those victories coming over the duo of Mike Seal and Cortez Coleman. Billstein is also a former German MMA Championship Middleweight Champion, defeating Mathias Schuck at GMC 2 to claim the gold.
