Second Title Bout Set For Cage Warriors 88

MMA

A second title bout has been added to the upcoming Cage Warriors 88 card as Lee Chadwick is going to be taking on Victor Cheng for the vacant middleweight title.

Chadwick (23-13-1) enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Tommy Quinn and Andy Manzolo. Chadwick has seen his last five fights all end within the opening round and it has been almost three years since one of his bouts got out of that first round. Chadwick is challenging for a title for the first time in his pro MMA career, which has lasted over a decade now.

Cheng (11-2-0) enters the fight on the strength of a four fight winning streak, with three of those wins coming under the Cage Warriors banner. Cheng has only competed once in the last four-plus years and that was a victory over Leeroy Barnes at Cage Warriors 78. Cheng is also a longtime veteran of The Zone FC promotion, winning all seven of the fights he competed at in the promotion.

Cage Warriors 88 takes place on Saturday, October 28 from the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England with Chris Fishgold and Alexander Jacobsen headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
