One Championship's Bantamweight Title will be defended at this December’s One Championships 50 event as champion Bibiano Fernandes defends against Reece McLaren.
Fernandes (19-3-0) will be making the sixth defense of his championship, with his last five defenses against Soo Chul Kim, Masakatsu Ueda, Dae Hwan Kim, Toni Tauru and Kevin Belingon. Fernandes will actually enter the fight on an eleven fight winning streak, and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over five years.
McLaren (9-3-0) will enter the fight riding a four fight winning streak, and he is also undefeated in One Championship competition. McLaren previously challenged for the Nitro MMA Bantamweight Title, losing to current UFC veteran Ben Nguyen. McLaren is also a veteran of the Fight World Cup promotion, winning three of four fights during his time there.
One Championships 50 will be taking place on Friday, December 2 from the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manilla, Philippines with Brandon Vera and Hideki Sekine headlining.
