Sheamus Wants Conor McGregor In The Cruiserweight Division

Conor McGregor is the current UFC Featherweight Champion and if he is able to defeat Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205, he will also become the UFC Lightweight Champion. However, if WWE superstar Sheamus has his way, McGregor could hold a third title if he comes to the WWE and becomes the WWE Cruiserweight Champion.

Sheamus was overseas in India doing some promotional work for the WWE, which is where he spoke to Sportskeeda about the possibility of the UFC sensation jumping over to the WWE and the world of professional wrestling.

"As far as I know he's still going to be fighting for a really long time. I mean there's a Cruiserweight Division now, so maybe McGregor can join the Cruiserweight Division. But I really don't know... it's really up to him. He's obviously got a lot of charisma, I don't know... if Vince McMahon feels that there's an opportunity to make money he'll be here,” said Sheamus.

McGregor and the WWE may not be on the best of terms right now after the featherweight champion went on a Twitter tirade against pro wrestling a few weeks back, which raised the ire of many in the professional wrestling world.

Conor McGregor will be challenging for the UFC Lightweight Title at UFC 205, which will be take place on Saturday, November 12. Sheamus, on the other hand, will be teaming with Cesaro to face WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day at WWE Hell In A Cell, on Sunday, October 30.
