Showtime Denies Cutting McGregor's Mic, But McGregor Says "F--- Showtime!"

MMA

The Conor McGregor - Floyd Mayweather press tour is full speed ahead, but it looked like McGregor had his mic cut during Tuesday's presser in Los Angeles.

“Yeah, they took the mic off,” McGregor told reporters Tuesday. “Look, f*ck them. F*ck Showtime. F*ck them all. They can do nothing after Aug. 26. They can try and do all these tricks all they want. Aug. 26, this man will be unconscious. He’s too small, he’s too frail. That’s it. What more can I say?”

Showtime would later issue a statement and said that didn't happen.

At no point did ShowTime or event productions cut any microphones intentionally during Tuesday's kickoff event in Los Angeles.

The point of this world tour is to let these superstars interact with the fans and with each other. Cutting their mics would go against our goal of delivering these fighters to the masses and letting their charismatic and entertaining personalities take center stage.
