Showtime To Stream Erislandy Lara vs. Brian Castano Undercard Fights

This weekend's Showtime-televised card from the Barclays Center will include a prelim card streamed on YouTube and Showtime.

The network announced that it will broadcast a tripleheader of fights that will serve as the lead-in to the "Showtime Championship Boxing" card on March 2. The undercard will be streamed on the Showtime Sports YouTube channel and the Showtime Boxing Facebook page.

The first fight is a 10-round cruiserweight fight between Edwin Rodriguez battle Mitch Williams. Rodriguez, a twice-beaten fighter who once challenged Andre Ward for the WBA super middleweight title in 2013, has won his last two fights. Williams is looking to start a win streak after snapping a two-fight skid last December.

Also on the undercard, unbeaten bantamweight Antonio Russell squares off against Jose Maria Cardenas. Russell, whose brother is WBC featherweight champion Gary Russell Jr., has won all 12 of his pro bouts. Cardenas sports a 16-3 record but lost his last fight back in August 2018.

Lastly, Leduan Barthelemy steps in for an eight-round super featherweight matchup against Miguel Angel Aispuro. Barthelemy is an undefeated fighter who last fought in September 2017 which was a split draw to Eduardo Ramirez. Aispuro has fought from featherweight all the way to welterweight and has won his last three fights.

As for the main card, the main event of the televised-portion of the card is a junior middleweight showdown between Erislandy Lara and Brian Castano for the WBA "Regular" title. The main card also includes a heavyweight matchup between Luis Ortiz and Christian Hammer as well as a featherweight fight between Bryan De Garcia and Ramirez for the vacant WBA Gold title.
