Stefan Struve Faces Ben Rothwell At UFC Fight Night Washington DC

A heavyweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Washington DC, first announced by the UFC Europe Twitter page, as Stefan Struve is going to be in action against Ben Rothwell

Struve (29-11-0) is competing for the first time since retiring after a second round submission win over Marcos Rogerio De Lima at UFC Fight Night Prague. Struve has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner and the fighter hasn’t put a winning streak together in almost three years. Struve has picked up twenty nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and eighteen of them have come by way of submission.

Rothwell (36-12-0) will enter the contest while in the midst of a three fight losing streak and he hasn’t picked up a win in almost four years. Rothwell has defeated six fighters during his UFC tenure and just one of them, Alistair Overeem, remains under a UFC contract. Rothwell has picked up thirty six wins as a professional MMA fighter and twenty seven of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Washington DC takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Capital One Arena in Washington DC with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
