Steven Ward vs. Liam Conroy For WBO European Title Added To ESPN+ Card On June 21

Another title fight joins the June 21 MTK Global card that will be streamed on ESPN+.

Steven Ward and Liam Conroy will do battle for the WBO European light heavyweight title as part of the undercard for the event, talking place at Ulster Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland. 

Ward. a 29-year-old fighter from Northern Ireland, has won all 11 of his pro bouts since making his debut back in 2016. Ward is a former BUI Celtic light heavyweight titleholder and has fought five times since the start of 2018. This will be Ward's third fight this year after wins against Abdula Arabie and Josip Perkovic.

Conroy is looking to start a win streak after his third-round stoppage defeat at the hands of Joshua Buatsi in a BBBofC British light heavyweight title fight back on March 23. Conroy, who has held the English and Northern Area titles, is coming into the fight with a 17-4-1 pro record. Conroy is coming off a second-round TKO win over journeyman Elvis Dube, who entered the fight with an 8-73-2 record, on May 11.

Also announced for the June 21 card will be a junior welterweight bout between Tyrone McKenna and Darragh Foley for the vacant WBC International title. The card will be streamed in the United States on ESPN+ as part of a broadcast deal between ESPN and MTK Global.
