A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC 235 according to the UFC as #6 Tecia Torres faces Weili Zhang.
Torres (10-3-0) will enter the bout while riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Jessica Andrade and Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Torres hasn’t picked up a win in nearly a year, with that last victory coming over Michelle Waterson at UFC 218. Torres is undefeated on UFC pay-per-view cards, having picked up wins at UFC 188, UFC 194 and UFC 218.
Zhang (18-1-0) comes into the contest while in the midst of an eighteen fight winning streak and she hasn’t suffered a loss in over five years. Zhang has already picked up a pair of victories under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Danielle Taylor and Jessica Aguilar. Zhang has picked up eighteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and sixteen of them have come by a combination of KO/TKO and submission.
