Terrance McKinney-Fares Ziam Scrapped From UFC Vegas 43

An exciting matchup between Terrance McKinney and Fares Ziam will no longer be taking place during tonight's (November 20) UFC Vegas 43 event.

McKinney announced via Twitter that someone in his corner tested positive for COVID-19. While he himself did not test positive, the UFC will be taking precautions heading into fight night.

"Someone in my corner got Covid and they were forced to cancel my fight. I don’t have Covid, but they say due to risk exposure I can’t fight. Sorry y’all, I appreciate all the support and love. We’re workin hard to get the fight rescheduled ASAP."

Making his MMA debut in 2017, McKinney made his UFC debut in June. He would beat Matt Frevola via KO, his fourth win in a row. McKinney would end up stating that he hopes the fight will be booked again soon.

Ziam made his debut in 2014. Joining the UFC in 2019, Ziam is 1-2 with the promotion. His last fight was a majority decision win over Luigi Vendramini back in June.

UFC Vegas 43 will be going on as planned with the remaining bouts. The main event will be a bantamweight bout between Ketlen Vieira and former UFC Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate.
