Thiago Alves Issues Statement On Canceled UFC Fight Night St. Louis Bout

MMA

Thiago Alves was all set to face Zak Cummings that past Sunday Night on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Night St. Louis.

However, just a day or so before the event, a shocking injury occurred as Cummings hit his head on a handrail while weight cutting and the injury caused the bout to be canned.

Alves has since taken to Instagram, where he speaks on the canceled fight and wanting to fight Cummings again by next month:

A total of four UFC events are currently scheduled for February, which are UFC Fight Night Belem, UFC 221, UFC Fight Night Austin and UFC On Fox 28.

There is no word yet from the UFC on whether the bout is going to be rescheduled or which card it could come on.
