Thiago Santos, Liz Carmouche, Petr Yan Get Big UFC Prague Wins, Stefan Struve Retires?

MMA

UFC Prague wasn't without its important fights.

The show was headlined by #6 Thiago Santos hoping to continue his fast run up the UFC's Light Heavyweight division against #4 Jan Blachowicz. After being patient for two rounds, Santos finally put down his foe to cap off the show.

#6 Liz Carmouche didn't earn the affection of the crowd with her performance in Prague. She did, however, earn a unanimous decision victory over Lucie Pudilova that puts her on an outstanding streak of four wins in her last five fights.

#14 Petr Yan is quickly moving up the rankings, and a huge win over #9 John Dodson Saturday afternoon helped accelerate that. Yan moves on to 4-0 in the UFC as he hopes to land near the top 10 of a bantamweight division that has been logjammed for years.

While not a top-15 fight, perennial top-15'er Stefan Struve may have very well retired in the cage following his submission win over Marcos Rogerio De Lima. Struve noted many fighters hang on too long, and he didn't want to do that after losing three in a row before this bout.
