Timothy Johnson Faces Valentin Moldavsky At Bellator 225

A heavyweight division attraction has been announced for Bellator 225 during the Bellator 224 broadcast as Timothy Johnson is going to be in the cage against Valentin Moldavsky.

Johnson (12-5-0) is winless thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, dropping a bout to fellow UFC veteran Cheick Kongo at Bellator 208. Johnson also won four of seven during a run with the UFC, with notable wins coming over the duo of Shamil Abdurakhimov and Marcin Tybura. Johnson has competed seventeen times as a professional MMA fighter and only five of those bouts went the distance.

Moldavsky (8-1-0) is undefeated thus far in Bellator MMA competition, having defeated Carl Seumanutafa, Ernest James and Linton Vassell. Moldavsky has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Amir Aliakbari at Rizin 4. Moldavsky has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of those victories have come by way of decision.

Bellator 225 takes place on Saturday, August 24 from the Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut with Matt Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which is going to be airing live on the Paramount Network.
