The one Championships Heavyweight Champion will be defended at One Championships: Age Of Domination as Brandon Vera defends the gold against Hideki Sekine.
Vera (14-7-0-1NC) will be making the first defense of his championship, which he won by defeating Paul Cheng at One Championships 36. Vera went 8-7-0-1 NC during his long tenure in the UFC, with the biggest win coming over former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir at UFC 65. Vera is also undefeated thus far in One Championships competition, the other win in the promotion came over Igor Subora at One FC 23.
Sekine (7-0-0) will be making his One Championships debut, but he is a longtime veteran of the DEEP promotion out of Japan. Sekino has seen five of his seven bouts as a pro ended within the first round and this will be his first fight in almost two years. The longest fight of Sekino’s career went a grand total of ten minutes, that fight was against Ryo Sakai at DEEP Cage Impact 2013.
One Championships: Age Of Domination will be taking place on Friday, December 2nd from the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manilla, Philippines with Brandon Vera and Hideki Sekine headlining.
