Liddell has been training in close proximity to Ortiz and Ortiz says that he knows everything that is going down in that fight camp.
“You ain’t coming to my town, living in my town, and don’t think I don’t know everything that’s going on,” Ortiz told MMA Junkie.
It is Liddell who holds a two fight lead in the series with Ortiz, earning victories at UFC 47 and UFC 66.
Ortiz knows where Liddell is training for the fight at and also knows that the sparring isn’t very good at that particular gym.
“I know they don’t spar hard in their gym,” Ortiz said. “I know them. I’ve known all them for such a long time. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach. Chuck comes and stays in my house and thinks he’s going to play mind games with me? That (expletive) is not going to work.”
