TJ Jones is feeling confident heading into tonight's bout.

T.J Jones will have the opportunity to step into the octagon tonight at Bellator 221 against former WWE star, the 1-0 Jake Hager. T.J. Jones is aware that there are many who are doubting what he'll be able to do once he steps into the cage with Hager. Ahead of tonight's bout, Jones chatted with TMZ Sports and was asked how will he put his opponent on the mat and here's how Jones responded:

“I’m gonna put my glove on his chin, and he’s gonna go down. That’s the plan. We’re gonna find out what his wrestling knows about my power, which I don’t think is very much.” Jones expressed.

One aspect of his fighting style that TJ believes people are overlooking is his hand speed. He stated that he has been blessed with "sweet" left hook and a quick jab and if either or both of those connect to Hager, Hager will enter panic mode.

“I honestly don’t think he understands how fast I actually am. The one thing that I’ve always been pretty blessed with is a super sweet left hook and a quick jab and as soon as I land those, I think he’ll go into panic mode honestly because his last opponent, and you know, I don’t wanna talk trash about him by any means but I just think he was tailor made for Jake and I don’t think I am.” Jones said.
