A women’s strawweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night 104 as #6 Tecia Torres will be in action against Bec Rawlings.
Torres (7-1-0) will be looking to rebound from her first professional MMA defeat, which at the hands of Rose Namajunas at UFC On Fox 19. Torres had won three bouts in the UFC prior to that defeat, with those three wins came over Angela Magana, Angela Hill and Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger. Torres previously defeating Rawlings in an exhibition fight when they were both cast members of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 20. Torres' record is a bit misleading, as she's actually had 18 fights between pro, amateur and exhibition in her first five years as a fighter.
Rawlings (7-5-0) has won two of four fights under the UFC banner, defeating Lisa Ward and Seo Hee Ham, while suffering defeats to Paige VanZant and Heather Jo Clark. Rawlings previously competed for the Invicta Fighting Championships Strawweight Title, but she lost the title shot to then champion Carla Esparza at Invicta FC 5. Rawlings competed twice in 2016, going 1-1-0, that was her most active year as a fighter in three years.
UFC Fight Night 104 takes place on Saturday, February 4 from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas with Dennis Bermudez and Chan Sung Jung headlining.
