A flyweight division attraction is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night 106 as #4 Jussier Formiga takes on #10 Ray Borg.
Formiga (19-4-0) has won four of his last five under the UFC banner, defeating Scott Jorgensen, Zach Makovsky, Wilson Reis and Dustin Ortiz, while suffering a lone defeat to Henry Cejudo. Formiga’s only three losses in the UFC came to John Dodson, Joseph Benavidez and Henry Cejudo, who are all fighters who have challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title. Formiga also competed in Tachi Palace Fights, where he competed against fellow UFC veteran Ian McCall.
Borg (10-2-0) has also won four of his last five under the UFC banner, defeating Shane Howell, Chris Kelades, Geane Herrera and Louis Smolka, while suffering a lone defeat to Justin Scoggins. Borg also competed once in the Legacy Fighting Championships, where he defeated Nick Urso by second round submission. Borg also went undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter, he won all four of his amateur fights by first round finish.
UFC Fight Night 106 takes place on Saturday, March 11 from the Centro de Formacao Olimpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil with Kelvin Gastelum and Vitor Belfort headlining, the main card airs live on Fox Sports 1.
