A top ten heavyweight division clash is the latest addition to UFC 208 as #9 Derrick Lewis takes on #10 Travis Browne.
Lewis (17-4-0) will enter the fight on a five fight winning streak, a streak that saw him defeat Viktor Pesta, Damian Grabowski, Gabriel Gonzaga, Roy Nelson and Shamil Abdurakhimov. Lewis is also coming off of his first main event fight under the UFC banner, where he defeated Shamil Abdurakhimov at UFC Fight Night 102. Lewis has also held two belts as a pro, as he is a former Legacy Fighting Championships Heavyweight Champion and a former Paramount Prize Fighting Heavyweight Champion.
Browne (16-5-1) has only won two of his last six in the UFC, defeating Matt Mitrione and Brendan Schaub, while suffering defeats to Fabricio Werdum (x2), Andrei Arlovski and Cain Velasquez. Browne has only seen one of his fights go to the judge’s scorecards in the last two years, that came against Fabricio Werdum at UFC 203. Browne hasn’t put a winning streak of any kind together in over three years, his last winning streak lasted a total of three fights.
UFC 208 takes place on Saturday, February 11 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with no headliners announced as of yet.
