A battle of top fifteen bantamweights have been added to the UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo card as #12 Pedro Munhoz is going to be in action against #13 Rob Font.
Munhoz (14-2-0-1NC) enters the fight riding a three fight winning streak, with those victories coming over the trio of Russell Doane, Justin Scoggins and Damian Stasiak. Munhoz is also a former Resurrection Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Champion, defeating UFC veteran Jeff Curran to win the belt at RFA 9. Munhoz has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter, with both of them coming in the UFC to Jimmie Rivera and Raphael Assuncao.
Font (14-2-0) will come into the fight on the strength of a two fight winning streak, with those victories coming over Matt Schnell and Douglas Silva De Andrade. Font has earned four wins thus far during his UFC tenure and all of those wind came by way of a finish, while hi lone promotional loss came by decision. Font also competed a total of six times in the CES MMA promotion, winning all six of those fights in the company.
UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo takes place on Saturday, October 28 from the Ibirapeura Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Lyoto Machida and Derek Brunson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
