A heavyweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC On Fox 25 card as #12 Timothy Johnson takes on Junior Albini.
Johnson (11-3-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last five UFC fights, with his last bout being a victory over Daniel Omielanczuk at UFC Fight Night 107. Johnson has seen his last four fights go the distance and it has been over two years since one of his fights had a finish. Johnson also fought five times in the Max Fights promotion, winning four of those five fights there.
Albini (13-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and he’ll be doing so on the strength of a nine fight winning streak. It has almost been a full year since Albini last competed, with his last fight being a decision win over Jose Rodrigo Guelke at Aspera FC 43. Albini hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost five years, with his last defeat coming to Alberto Emiliano Pereira at Nitrix Championship Fights 12.
UFC On Fox 25 takes place on Saturday, July 22 from the Nassau Coliseum in Long island, New York with Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
