The first fight has been announced for the upcoming UFC On Fox 25 card as #11 Patrick Cummins takes on #14 Gian Villante in a light heavyweight division clash.
Cummins (9-4-0) has won just one of his last three fights under the UFC banner, with that lone victory coming over Jan Blachowicz at UFC 210. Cummins has won just one of two fights at the “UFC On Fox” cards, with that lone win coming over Kyle Kingsbury at UFC On Fox 12. Cummins has only seen just one of his last five fights in the UFC go the distance, that was the aforementioned fight against Jan Blachowicz.
Villante (15-8-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last six UFC appearances, with his last bout being a loss to Mauricio Rua at UFC Fight Night 106. Villante is undefeated at UFC events that have taken place in New York, having defeated Saparbek Safarov at UFC Fight Night 102. Villante has also won just one of two fights at “UFC On Fox” cards, defeating Corey Anderson and suffering a defeat to Tom Lawlor.
