A women’s bantamweight division fight has been added to UFC Fight Night 106 as #9 Bethe Correia will be in action against #13 Marion Reneau.
Correia (8-2-0) has only won just one of her last three under the UFC banner, defeating Jessica Eye, while suffering a pair of defeats to the duo of Raquel Pennington and former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. Correia began her career with a seven fight undefeated streak, which saw her pick up notable wins over Julie Kedzie, Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Baszler. Correia hasn’t put a winning streak together in well over two years and that winning streak lasted for seven total fights.
Reneau (7-3-0) has also won just one of her last three in UFC competition, defeating Milana Dudieva, while suffering a pair of defeats to both Holly Holm and Ashlee Evans-Smith. Reneau has earned four victories by first round finish, with the most notable of the four coming over Jessica Andrade at UFC Fight Night 61. Reneau also fought a grand total of three times in The Warriors Cage promotion, winning two of three fights in the promotion.
UFC Fight Night 106 takes place on Saturday, March 11 from the Centro de Formacao Olimpica do Nordeste in Fortaleza, Brazil with Kelvin Gastelum and Vitor Belfort headlining.
