Social networking service Triller has come out responding to former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson and his claims that he no longer would be working with the company.
The boxing legend took to his Instagram to post the following statement, making it clear he has no intentions of boxing under the Triller Fight Club banner again and that any future events including him would be featured with Mike Tyson's Legends Only League.
Mike Tyson is not doing another event with Triller. Any Triller executive out there saying so is BS. Any future event will be with Mike Tyson’s @legendsonlyleague
Well, Triller has now refuted Tyson's claims via a document obtained by RingTV.com's Michael Woods. The letter which is signed by attorney John Flock deems the promotion as having an existing working relationship with the boxing legend and exclusive rights to being the promoter for any future Tyson boxing endeavors.
After returning to the ring on November 28, 2020, in an exhibition match against fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. under Triller's fight brand it seemed that the 54-year old Tyson would next complete a trilogy with former rival Evander Holyfield. Tyson went as far as to confirm the fight booking himself, saying the pair would meet on May 29 in Miami, Florida but that report has since been denied and the ongoing saga between the fighter and Triller means that a Tyson ring return doesn't seem like for the near future.
