Triple H Says He Thinks Ronda Rousey Is Unsure About WWE

Triple H would love to talk to Ronda Rousey about joining WWE.

Last week, Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp reported Ronda Rousey was interested in professional wrestling and WWE suggested she train with Brian Kendrick at the Santino Bros Wrestling Academy. The buzz of Rousey and WWE reignited when she appeared in the crowd at the Mae Young Classic tapings. WWE featured Rousey on social media during the Mae Young Classic tapings including a picture with Triple H.

In an interview with CBS Sports, Triple H said he was not sure about the former UFC Champion taking up professional wrestling.

"I don't know that I ever once looked out at the crowd and saw her without this ear-to-ear grin on her face. She was like a little kid after every break there would be when I would talk to her, like a little kid. What that means? Unsure. What that means down the line? I think she's unsure," said Triple H.

Despite Rousey's enthusiasm for WWE's product, Triple H said he wonders if Rousey's current personal life might keep her away from WWE.

"I think (Rousey) is in a transitional period in her life and is in a great place. I think she's getting married soon or something. Look, she has got a lot going on, but I'm all about creating opportunities. That's what the Mae Young Classic is all about, creating opportunities for these women they never had before. If Ronda Rousey wants that opportunity, I'd be happy to talk to her about it," said Triple H.

The COO of WWE also said Rousey would have to make big adjustments because in mixed-martial-arts the crowd's response is not as important as in professional wrestling.

Rousey's friend and fellow UFC veteran Jessamyn Duke has began training at Santino Bros Wrestling Academia and Rousey's other friend Shayna Baszler is prominently featured in the Mae Young Classic. Triple H praised Baszler for performing well in the tournament in the interview.
