A pair of championship encounters will be headlining Invicta Fighting Championships 20 as bantamweight champion Tonya Evinger defends against Yana Kunitskaya and strawweight champion Angela Hill defends against Kaline Medeiros.
Evinger (18-5-0) will be making the third defense of her championship. She previously defended the gold against Pannie Kianzad and Colleen Schneider after she defeated Irene Aldana at Invicta FC 13 to win the title. Evinger has not suffered a defeat in well over five years, her last loss came to UFC veteran Sara McMann at Titan Fighting Championships 19 in July 2011.
Kunitskaya (9-2-0) will be making her Invicta FC debut, but she does hold a win over Invicta FC veteran Cindy Dandois. Kunitskaya has only competed twice in the last four years, defeating Yanan Wu at Fightspirit Championships 6 and losing to Zaira Dyshekova at Absolute Championship Berkut 32.
Hill (5-2-0) will be making the first defense of her championship, which she won by defeating Livia Renata Souza at Invicta FC 17. Hill also had a three fight run in the UFC, defeating Emily Kagan, while suffering defeats to Tecia Torres and Rose Namajunas.
Medeiros (8-4-0) is currently undefeated under the Invicta FC banner, defeating both Alline Serio and Manjit Kolekar. Medeiros also competed once in Bellator MMA, where she defeated Sarah Payant by submission at Bellator 140.
Invicta Fighting Championships 20 will be taking place on Friday, November 18th from the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Missouri with Tonya Evinger and Yana Kunitskaya in the main event.
