Two Title Fights, One UFC Vet Headlining Victory FC 59

A pair of title fights will headline the upcoming Victory Fighting Championships 59 card as Raufeon Stots defends the bantamweight title against Arnold Berdon and UFC veteran Yuri Villefort defends the middleweight belt against Victor Moreno.

Stots (8-1-0) is making the first defense of his championship, which was won when he defeated UFC veteran Rob Emerson by decision at Victory FC 56. Stots is also looking to rebound from the first loss of his professional MMA career, which came to Merab Dvalishvili at Ring Of Combat 59.

Berdon (6-1-0) is undefeated thus far in Victory FC competition, defeating both Terrance Almond and Johnnie Roades. Berdon hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years and that came to WSOF veteran Tyson Nam at Destiny MMA: Na Koa 10 in August of 2015.

Villefort (10-5-0) is making the first defense of his title, which was won back at Victory FC 56 earlier this year. Villefort when winless during his time in the UFC, dropping fights to the duo of Nah-Shon Burrell and Sean Spencer.

Moreno (39-23-0) enters the fight on a two bout winning streak, including victories over Jeff Carstens and Tyler Vogel. Moreno has already defeated one other UFC veteran in Victory FC competition and that was against Brian Houston at Victory FC Harrah’s Fight Night 2.

Victory Fighting Championships 59 takes place on Saturday, December 16 from the Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska with Raufeon Stots and Arnold Berdon headlining. Fightful is providing quick results of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
