A pair of women’s bouts have been added to UFC Fight Night Shanghai as Kailin Curran faces Xiaonan Yan at strawweight and Gina Mazany faces Yanan Wu at bantamweight.
MMA Today first reported the fights.
Curran (4-5-0) has won just one of six fights during her UFC tenure, with that lone win coming over Emily Kagan at UFC Fight Night 80. Curran is just one of a handful of fighters to compete in the UFC with a losing record.
Yan (7-1-0-1NC) is going to be making her UFC debut in this fight and she does so while on a five fight winning streak. Yan also won two of three fights in the Road FC promotion, with those wins coming over Ye Hyun Nam and Seo Hee Lim.
Mazany (4-1-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Sara McMann at UFC Fight Night 105. Mazany also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 18, losing to eventual winner Juliana Pena in the opening round of the reality show.
Wu (9-1-0) will also be making her UFC debut in this fight and she is going to be doing so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Wi is the current Chinese Kung Fu Championships Women’s Bantamweight Champion, winning the gold in September of 2014.
