Tyson Fury Breaks Down Potential Fight Schedule Through 2020

Tyson Fury breaks down what his plans are for fights in 2020.

During a long interview with BT Sport, Fury talks about when he could face some of the other champions in the heavyweight division after his next fight. Fury is set to face unbeaten rising contender Otto Wallin on September 14 in the main event of a Top Rank Boxing card from Las Vegas.

But after fighting Wallin, Fury said he plans on having the long-awaited rematch with WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in February 2020. That fight has yet to be announced, but that date has been thrown around for months with Fury claiming that the rematch is in fact signed. In addition, Fury said there could be a third fight between the two taking place that summer and afterwards, Fury hopes to end 2020 with a fight against the winner of the Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Anthony Joshua rematch taking place in December in Saudi Arabia.

But if it doesn't all pan out for the former unified heavyweight champion, Fury said he would be more than willing to give Derek Chisora a fight. The two have fought in the past back in 2014 with Fury beating Chisora after 10 rounds.

"The deal is done [for the Wilder rematch]. There's no negotiating. February 22nd, 2020, the venue has been booked. The deal's been agreed. He can't fight anybody else because his name is on the contract... I'll fight Wallin, Wilder, Wilder (a third time), winner of Ruiz vs. Joshua if they are available. If not, then I'll give [Chisora] a shot." Fury said.

Fury added that in a perfect world, he would fight again in December 2019, but if he is going to fight Wilder next February, then he won't be in the ring just two months prior to that rematch. The full interview between BT Sport and Fury can be seen in the video at the top of the page.
