UFC 213 Card Undergoes Changes

MMA

UFC 213 took a hit recently as the welterweight division fight between former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and Donald Cerrone was pulled from the card.

The pulled fight has caused some changes to the card, with the first being that a heavyweight division fight between Daniel Omielanczuk and Curtis Blaydes has been bumped from the FS1 preliminary card to the main card.

With that change, a middleweight division fight between Thiago Santos and Gerald Meerschaert has been moved from the UFC Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card to the FS1 portion of the preliminary card.

If that wasn’t enough, MMA Fighting is reporting that the UFC is looking to add to more fights to the card. Which if that proves to be true, the card would go from the 10 fight card it is currently sitting at, to a 12 fight card. If those two fights are added to the card, both of those late addition fights would take place on the UFC Fight Pass portion of the preliminary card.

UFC 213 takes place on Saturday, July 8 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Amanda Nunes and Valentina Shevchenko headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
