UFC Cuts Welterweight Fighter

Eight fight UFC veteran Joe Proctor has been cut by the promotion he has called home for the last four-plus years, the fighter currently has a record of 11-5-0.

The TUF 15 alumni posted the following on his Twitter upon getting the news:

Proctor did win four of eight fights during his UFC tenure, with those victories coming over Jeremy Larsen, Cristiano Marcello, Justin Salas and Justin Edwards.

However, the fighter does end his UFC run on a two fight losing streak, having dropped fights to Bryan Barberena and Magomed Mustafaev.

Prior to coming to the UFC in 2012, the fighter did hold the Reality Fighting Welterweight Title, having defeated Bellator MMA veteran Matt Bessette to win the gold in 2011.
