A rare Sunday morning UFC event took place last week in the form of UFC Fight Night 109, which saw Alexander Gustafsson defeat Glover Teixeira in the main event.
That Sunday show averaged a total of 496,000 viewers for the event, which is a positive sign when you consider that it took place on a holiday weekend and on the same day as the Indianapolis 500.
The aforementioned main event between Gustafsson and Texeira drew the highest rating for the show, as 665,000 fans checked out the light heavyweight encounter.
Fox Sports 1 was the home for both the main card and the preliminary card, that preliminary card headlined by Pedro Munhoz and Damian Stasiak drew an average of 353,000 viewers.
There was also a midnight replay of the main card of UFC Fight Night 109 on Fox Sports 1 as well, that replay drew an average of 128,000 viewers.
Other notable fights on the card saw Volkan Oezdemir defeat Misha Cirkunov and Peter Sobotta defeat Ben Saunders.
UFC 212 is the next UFC event, a four fight preliminary card is going to be airing live on Fox Sports 1. The featured fight on that preliminary card will see former World Series Of Fighting Bantamweight Champion Marlon Moraes make his UFC debut against Raphael Assuncao.
