This past weekend's UFC Fight Night: Auckland event was a successful one for the promotion, as the Fox Sports 1 aired show drew an average of 923,000 viewers.
It was the main event fight between Mark Hunt and Derrick Lewis that drew the highest amount of viewers for the event, as a total of 1,087,000 viewers checked out the fight.
Other main card fights included Derek Brunson defeating Daniel Kelly, Dan Hooker defeating Ross Pearson, Ion Cutelaba defeating Henrique Da Silva, Ben Nguyen defeating Tim Elliott and Alexander Volkanovski defeating Mizuto Hirota.
The preliminary card, which also aired on Fox Sports 1 and featured Vinc Pichel defeating Damien Brown in the featured fight, drew an average of 696,000 viewers.
Fox Sports 2 was the home for the pre-fight show and that drew a total of 61,000 viewers, while the post-fight show that aired on Fox Sports 1 drew 351,000 viewers.
There wasn’t a lot of stiff competition for the show that night, besides a nationally aired Major League Baseball game on Fox that drew 2,311,000 viewers.
UFC Fight Night: Oklahoma City is going to be the next UFC event to air live on Fox Sports 1, as Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee are headlining that card.
