UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires & Bellator 209 TV Ratings Are In

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a pair of big events in the form of Bellator 209 and UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires.

Everything kicked off on Friday Night with Bellator 209, which aired via tape delay on the Paramount Network with Patricio Pitbull successfully defending the featherweight strap in the main event. That show brought in a total of 381,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting, which is the fourth lowest rating for Bellator MMA on the Paramount Network/Spike TV.

Saturday Night was all about the UFC and UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires, which featured Santiago Ponzinibbio defeating Neil Magny in the main event.

The six fight main card, which aired on Fox Sports 1, brought in a total of 632,000 viewers, while another 11,084 people checking out the fights via streaming apps Fox Now and Fox Sports Go. The opening fight on the main card between Cynthia Calvillo and Poliana Botelho brought in the most viewers, with 715,000 people checking out that bout. Other bouts on the main card saw Ricardo Lamas defeat Darren Elkins, Johnny Walker defeat Khalil Rountree, Ian Heinisch defeat Cezar Ferreira and Marlon Vera defeat Guido Cannetti.

However, it was a four fight preliminary card that brought in the most viewers, with an average of 707,000 viewers checking out the action. That portion of the card saw Michel Prazeres defeat Bartosz Fabinski, Alexandre Pantoja defeat Ulka Sasaki, Austin Arnett defeat Humberto Bandenay and Laureano Staropoli defeat Hector Aldana.

Up next for the UFC is UFC Fight Night Beijing on November 24, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass. Bellator MMA is following with Bellator 210, with a four fight main card airing live on the Paramount Network on November 30.
