UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo 2018 & Bellator 205 Ratings Are In

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a big slate of fighting action in the form of Bellator 205 and UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo 2018.

Everything kicked off on Friday Night with Bellator 205, featuring a first round knockout from AJ McKee over John Teixeira in the main event. A four fight main card aired live on the Paramount Network, bring in an average of 346,000 viewers according to MMA Fighting. Other fights on the card saw Rafael Lovato Jr defeat John Salter, Veta Arteaga defeat Denise Kielholtz and Patricky Pitbull defeat Roger Huerta.

UFC 300 Weigh Ins

UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo 2018 took place the following day, headlined by Thiago Santos scoring a third round TKO victory over Eryk Anders. The five fight main card aired live on Fox Sports 1, bringing in an average of 607,000 viewers for the event.

It was the fight between Sam Alvey and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira that brought in the most viewers, with 701,000 viewers checking out that bout. Other fights on the main card saw Alex Oliveira defeat Carlo Pedersoli Jr., Andre Ewell defeat Renan Barao and Randa Markos fight Marina Rodriguez to a draw.

A four fight preliminary card aired live on Fox Sports 2, with Charles Oliveira defeating Christos Giagos in the featured spot. That Fox Sports 2 televised broadcast brought in 243,000 viewers, making it the lowest amount of viewers to ever watch a live UFC preliminary card on FS2.

Fox Sports 2 aired a pre-fight show that brought in 97,000 viewers, while a post-fight show on Fox Sports 1 brought in 218,000 viewers.

While the UFC is off this week, it is Bellator MMA all alone this weekend with Bellator 206, but TV viewership won’t be revealed as the event streams live on DAZN.
