Conor McGregor's historic win against Eddie Alvarez in the main event of UFC 205 had the whole MMA world buzzing, including some of his fellow UFC fighters.

In the aftermath of McGregor's second-round knockout win over Alvarez, fans and professional athletes, both current and former, took to social media to congratulate the Irishman for winning the main event of the first ever UFC card held in Madison Square Garden.

But the congratulations didn't stop there as several fighters, from champions to other UFC fighters outside of McGregor's weight class, praised the dual-weight champion's performance against Alvarez.

Even the official UFC Twitter account took notice of McGregor's expletive-filled post-fight interview, which the account called it "typical McGregor fashion." The interview mainly had McGregor demanding to see his second championship belt that he won off of Alvarez.

McGregor now holds both the UFC Featherweight and Lightweight titles, becoming the first man in UFC history to hold two belts from two different weight classes at the same time. The champion vs. champion fight also set gate records for both a UFC and MSG event. The card also featured two other title fights, in which Tyron Woodley retained his UFC Welterweight Championship against Stephen Thompson and Joanna Jedrzejczyk defeating Karolina Kowalkiewicz to retaining his UFC Women's Strawweight Championship.
