UFC Fight Night Prague took place this past weekend, which featured Thiago Santos scoring a third round TKO victory over Jan Blachowicz in the main event.
The show marked the promotion’s debut in Prague and the show drew well, with a total of 16,583 fans checking out the thirteen fight card. The 16,583 fans also brought in a big gate for the UFC, as ticket sales brought in a total of $1,606,176. There is no word yet on how many tickets were purchased or comped, which would affect the total gate.
Four fighters would also receive bonuses for their performances at UFC Fight Night Prague, with Stefan Struve, Michel Oleksiejczuk, Thiago Santos and Dwight Grant picking up $50,000 each. All four fighters picked up the extra dough with “Performance Of the Night” bonuses, as a “Fight Of the Night” bonus was not rewarded. Oleksiejczuk and Grant picked up there first UFC wins and bonuses at the event, which Struve and Santos have picked up bonuses before.
Up next for the UFC is UFC 235 this Saturday Night, which will feature UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones defending the gold against Anthony Smith in the main event, with UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley faces Kamaru Usman in the co-main event.
