UFC Ultimate Fighter: Latin America II alumni and two fight UFC veteran Enrique Marin has been released by the UFC.

The 8-4 Marin fought twice under the UFC banner, dropping unanimous decisions to both Erick Montano (UFC Fight Night 78) and Sage Northcutt (UFC 200).

Marn made the announcement of his release himself via Instagram, you can read his post below:

Here is a translation for what Marin wrote on his Instagram post (provided by MMA Fighting):

"I have just been given an important notice. Four months after my last fight, I'm being informed that I'm no longer a UFC fighter due to my last loss, and some changes within the company, when everything seemed to be running in normal course according to what I was being informed. But that's how things present themselves in life, and you just have to flow with them. I did everything I could, so thanks to everyone for the support I received from every part, I say it from my heart. We're going to keep fighting in other current big leagues, and see what the future holds. A chapter closes and another opens. And that's what living consists of."

The UFC has not issued a statement on the release.
