Former World Series Of Fighting Bantamweight Title challenger Sheymon Moraes has signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC.
Combate was the first to announce the signing.
Even though he just signed with the promotion, the fighter is going to be battling Zabit Magomedsharipov at UFC Fight Night Shanghai.
Moraes (9-1-0) enters the fight on the strength of a two fight winning streak, those wins came over Luis Palomino and Robbie Peralta. Moraes has previously challenged for the aforementioned WSOF Bantamweight Title, losing to Marlon Moraes at the WSOF 22. Moraes has earned five of his nine professional MMA wins by KO/TKO, the rest came by way of decision.
Magomedsharipov (13-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Mike Santiago by second round submission at UFC Fight Night Rotterdam. Magomedsharipov also competed in the Absolute Championships Berkut promotion, with none of his fights going past the second round. Magomedsharipov hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over four years, with that loss coming to Igor Egorov at Pro FC 47 in April 2013.
UFC Fight Night Shanghai takes place on Saturday, November 25 from the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China with Anderson Silva and Kelvin Gastelum headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
