UFC Veteran Headlining LFA 19

The main event is set for the upcoming Legacy Fighting Alliance 19 card and it is a welterweight division fight as UFC veteran David Michaud faces Ciro Rodrigues.

Michaud (11-3-0) enters the fight on the strength of a two fight winning streak, which saw him defeat the duo of Cody Wilson and Jake Lindsey. Michaud won just one of three fights during his UFC tenure, defeating Garrett Whiteley, while suffering defeats to Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Jingliang Li. Michaud has also previously challenged for the Titan Fighting Championships Welterweight Title, losing to fellow UFC veteran Dhiego Lima by decision at Titan FC 39.

Rodrigues (20-6-0-1NC) is going to be making his LFA debut in this fight and he is going to be doing so on the strength of a two fight winning streak. Rodrigues is also going to be competing for the first time in just over a years, as his last bout came at a 1 Round Combat MMA event in May of 2016. Rodrigues is going to be competing stateside for the first time in his professional MMA career, as the majority of his pro MMA fights have taken place in Brazil.

Legacy Fighting Alliance 19 takes place on Friday, August 18 from the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with David Michaud and Ciro Rodrigues headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on AXS TV.
