UFC Veteran Houston Alexander Signs With BKFC

The Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship promotion continues to add former Octagon veterans, as they've signed UFC veteran Houston Alexander as their latest roster addition.

Alexander confirmed he had signed with BKFC via a post to his official Instagram account, with MMA Junkie's Nolan King also reporting the news of Alexander joining the bare-knuckle boxing company. He will make his promotional debut against fellow UFC veteran Wes Combs at BKFC 21 on September 10 from the Ralston Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.

The 49-year old East St. Louis, Illinois native hasn't competed since December 2017 and is 1-6 in his last seven MMA bouts. His UFC run took place from May 2007 to December 2009 where he went 2-4 in six Octagon appearances with his most notable fights coming against Keith Jardine, Thiago Silva, Alessio Sakara, and the late great Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson.
