USADA Says They Are Eager To Return To Full Testing Of UFC Fighters

MMA

The UFC and the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) have been partnering for several years now in an effort to clean up the sport of MMA for those using illegal substances. The ongoing coronavirus pandemic hasn’t just affected the UFC, but it has also caused issues for USADA and how they test UFC fighters.

While it is unknown at this time as to when USADA will return to full testing for UFC fighters, one thing they cannot wait for is to return to testing UFC fighters on a more regular basis.

A USADA rep issued the following statement to MMA Fighting about their plans to return to full time testing:

“We have been and continue to monitor the situation closely and along with clean athletes, we are eager to return to full testing and will do so as it is safe and healthy for athletes and our collection team.”

UFC President Dana White told the fighters during the coronavirus information sessions that full testing will return in the near future, but an exact date or time frame wasn't revealed.
