Things got tense — and a little too visual — between Brandon Girtz and Mohegan Tribe commission head Mike Mazzulli at the official Bellator 250 weigh-ins.
Girtz was asked to take his pants off by Mazzuli on Wednesday's early weigh-ins. The fighter overheard that he weighed 146 for his 145-pound fight, within the contractual allowance. Mazzulli informed Girtz that he actually weighed 146.25, a quarter over allowance. Mazzulli was audibly confrontational with Girtz: calling him a "tool," accusing Girtz of having an "attitude" and cutting too much weight.
An irritated Girtz took his pants off before assistants had fully prepared the covering. Fortunately for us all, someone stepped in JUST in time to conceal Girtz's girth from the world.
