Leon Edwards vs Khamzat Chimaev postponed
On Tuesday afternoon, news broke that Leon Edwards has returned a positive COVID-19 test. His upcoming bout with rising star Khamzat Chimaev has been postponed to a later date as a consequence. UFC currently has no plans to find Chimaev a new opponent, instead, they look to reschedule the bout for early 2021. Chimaev wished Edwards a fast recovery, and a rather unexpected name offers to replace Edwards.
Chimaev gave Edwards his best wishes, UFC bantamweight Brian Kelleher put his name forward to fight Chimaev... for a price.
Both Chimaev and Kelleher have had outstanding years in 2020. Kelleher has 3 wins and 1 loss in 2020; meanwhile, Chimaev has three wins and zeo losses to his name including a 17-second knockout victory over veteran Gerald Meerschaert.
