UFC has released a new video detailing Gillespie's rise up the lightweight ladder ahead of his fight with Brad Riddell at UFC Vegas 22. You can watch the video embedded above.
Gillespie (13-1) brings with him one of the best wrestling acumens in all of mixed martial arts. As a folkstyle wrestler, Gillespie was the 2007 NCAA Division I National Champion at 149 pounds, a four-time NCAA Division I All-American and a three-time EWL and PSAC conference champion for the Edinboro Fighting Scots.
Prior to a nasty head-kick KO loss to Kevin Lee at UFC 244, Gillespie finished five of his first six UFC. His collection of scalps includes Yancy Medeiros, Vinc Pichel and Andrew Holbrook.
