WBC Rankings Update: March 2019

With several weight classes having several big weekends last month, there are a number of big changes in the WBC rankings.

As with every month, the WBC posted the latest update to their rankings and Fightful kept tabs on who moved up and down in the rankings. Below are the changes to the WBC rankings in each weight class.

The Most Popular Prop Bets Placed During MMA Matches

Heavyweight:

  • Derek Chisora rises from No. 13 to No. 11
  • Carlos Takam drops from No. 11 to No. 14
  • Charles Martin rises from No. 14 to No. 12

Cruiserweight:

  • Andrzej Fonfara (previously No. 6) drops out of the rankings
  • Krszysztof Wlodarczyk, Yury Kashinky, Noel Gevor, Mike Perez, Olanrewaju Durodola, Mateusz Masternak all rise one spot from their original No. 7 through No. 12 spots to No. 6 through No. 11
  • Imre Szello drops from No. 13 to No. 15
  • Thabiso Mchunu rises from No. 15 to No. 13
  • Ruslan Faifer rises from No. 14 to No. 12
  • Yves Ngabu enters the rankings at No. 14

Light Heavyweight:

  • Sven Fornling (formerly No. 9) drops out of the rankings
  • Isaac Chilemba, Felix Valera, Seanie Monaghan, Enrico Koelling, Radivoje Kaljdic, Karo Murat all rise one spot from their original No. 10 through No. 15 spots to No. 9 through No. 14
  • Mehdi Amar enters the rankings at No. 15

Super Middleweight:

  • Anthony Dirrell (formerly No. 1) drops out of the rankings as he is the new WBC champion
  • Avni Yildirim, Chris Eubank Jr., Caleb Truax. David Lemiuex, Azuzbek Abdugofurov, Fedor Chudinov, Jesse Hart, Rocky Fielding, Robin Krasinqi, John Ryder, Vladimir Sishkin, Jayde Mitchell, Juergen Braehmer, Vincent Feigenbutz all rise one spot from their original No. 2 through No. 15 spots to No. 1 through No. 15
  • Jose Uzcategui enters the rankings at No. 15

Middleweight:

  • Billy Joe Saunders (formerly No. 5) drops out of the rankings
  • Jason Quigley, Jack Culcay all rise one spot from their original No. 6 through No. 17 spots to No. 5 through No. 6
  • Sergiy Derevyanchenko rises from No. 9 to No. 7
  • Esquivia Falcao, Steven Butler all rise one spot from their original No. 10 through No. 11 spots to No. 9 through No. 10
  • Luis Arias rises from No. 13 to No. 11
  • Gabriel Rosado, Immanuwel Aleem all rise one spot from their original No. 14 through No. 15 spots to No. 13 through No. 14
