Weigh-In Results For New Year's Eve Boxing Card From Macau

The final major boxing card of the year will feature three world titles and all six fighters stepped into the scales before they step into the ring. 

In the main event of the New Year's Eve boxing card from Macau, China is a vacant WBO super flyweight title fight between Donnie Nietes and Kazuto Ioka. The card will also feature two other world title fights: Moruti Mthalane vs. Masahiro Sakamoto for the IBF flyweight title and Hekkie Budler vs. Hiroto Kyoguchi for the WBA "Super" light flyweight.

Before all the big fights take place, the three boxers weighed-in and below are the official weights for the December 31 from the Wynn Palace Cotai in Macau:

WBO super flyweight title (115-pound limit):

  • Donnie Nietes: 115 lbs.
  • Kazuto Ioka: 114.5 lbs.

IBF flyweight title (112-pound limit):

  • Moruti Mthalane: 111.5 lbs.
  • Masahiro Sakamoto: 111.5 lbs.

WBA "Super" light flyweight title (108-pound limit):

  • Hekkie Budler: 106.8 lbs.
  • Hiroto Kyoguchi: 107.8 lbs.

The show capped off the final boxing weekend of 2018 with Tokyo hosting a world title tripleheader that saw Ken Shiro and Masayuki Ito retain their respective world titles and Takuma Inoue win the interim WBC bantamweight title at the Ota-City General Gymnasium.
