There has been no comment yet from Shevchenko as to Zheng?s aspirations, as she last competed in the main event of UFC Fight Night Uruguay.
Former UFC Women?s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk has called out Zhang, but Zhang doesn?t seem too threatened by that challenge.
?Definitely it was a good fight (at UFC Fight Night Tampa), but you can see Joanna has a lack of finishing power,? she said. ?I don?t think Joanna now is the Joanna she used to be when she was champion, so I have a lot of stuff that can finish her.?
If Zhang gets the bout against Shevchenko and wins the title, it would make her the second woman in UFC history to win two titles in two different weight classes.
