February’s UFC 208 card continues to fill up as another fight has been added to the card. This one takes place on the welterweight division as Roan Carneiro faces Ryan LaFlare, Carneiro made the announcement on his Instagram.
Carneiro (21-10-0) has won two of three fights in his second UFC run, defeating Mark Munoz and Kenny Robertson, while suffering a defeat to Derek Brunson. Carneiro also won the one night Battlegrounds MMA Welterweight Tournament in 2014, defeating UFC veteran Brock Larson in the finals. Carneiro fought five times in his first UFC run from 2007-2008, his biggest win came over Rich Clementi at UFC Fight Night 9.
LaFlare (12-1-0) has won five of six fights under the UFC banner, with some notable wins coming over Court McGee, John Howard and Mike Pierce. LaFlare will be competing for the first time in over a year, as he last fight was the win over the previously mentioned Mike Pierce at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale in December 2015. LaFlare is also a former Ring Of Combat Welterweight Champion, he defended the belt twice before signing with the UFC.
UFC 208 takes place on Saturday, February 11 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with no headliners announced as of yet.
