A welterweight division clash has been added to this summer’s UFC 215 card as Mike Perry is going to be in action against Thiago Alves.
Perry (10-1-0) has already earned three victories under the UFC banner, having defeated the trio of Hyun Gyu Lim, Danny Roberts and Jake Ellenberger. Perry has only seen just one of his eleven professional MMA fights go the distance, that fight was a loss to Alan Jouban at UFC On Fox 22. Perry is currently undefeated on UFC pay-per-view cards, as two of his wins in the promotion came at UFC 202 and UFC 204.
Alves (22-11-0) has been with the UFC for almost twelve years now and he has earned a total of fourteen wins thus far in the promotion. Alves has previously challenged for the UFC Welterweight Title, losing to then champion Georges St. Pierre by decision at UFC 100. Alves also had a one fight stint at lightweight, losing to Jim Miller at UFC 200 and Alves missed weight horribly before the fight.
